The control of raw materials of moulds is carried out from the following aspects:
1. Macroscopic inspection
The chemical composition is decisive to ensure the performance of steel, but the qualified composition can not fully explain the performance of steel. Due to the inhomogeneity of the internal structure and composition of steel, the macroscopic inspection largely complements this aspect.
Macroscopic examination can observe the crystallization of steel, the damage of steel continuity and the inhomogeneity of some components.
Standard: Macrostructure Defect Rating Chart of Structural Steel GB1979
There are 8 kinds of common macroscopic defects: segregation, porosity, inclusion, shrinkage, bubbles, white spots, cracks and folds.
2.1 Evaluation of annealing structure
The purpose of annealing is to reduce the hardness of steel, facilitate machining, and prepare the structure for subsequent heat treatment.
The annealing structure of carbon tool steel shall be evaluated according to the first grade rating chart of GB1298.
2.2 Nonuniformity of carbide
Cr12 ledeburite steel contains a large amount of eutectic carbides in its structure. The inhomogeneity of carbides has a very important impact on the service performance, so the distribution of carbides must be strictly controlled.
In a word, because the production objects of mold manufacturers and workshops are relatively complicated, and how many of them are single pieces and small batches, which brings certain difficulties to the formulation and management of mold production quota, and the production methods, equipment and technical quality of each factory and workshop are different, so when formulating the quota, it must be based on the actual situation of the factory and workshop, Find out appropriate methods to formulate both advanced and reasonable working hours quota to improve labor productivity.
